COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT – WOMEN'S SENIOR, RESERVE & U16 COACHING STAFF

Women's coaching staff

Essendon Royals are delighted to announce the coaching structure for the 2018 Season to last season’s members.

After roles as coach and technical director in the State League and NPL system, Murray Ovens joins the Royals family as Senior Women's Coach. Murray comes to the Royals with a wealth of playing, coaching and technical directing experience across a variety of age groups (including seniors), female & male structures at established clubs including Eltham Redbacks and more recently Bulleen.

The familiar faces of Ned Rajic and Nathan Di Natale will be assisting in the running of the Reserves and u16's teams. Nathan coached the Women's SL4 team a couple of years back and assisted the senior coaches in 2017. Ned has been a mainstay in the females program having coached girls at junior level and assisted over the last 5 years. Their specific roles will be further clarified once the teams and their needs are better understood.

The club has been working with the newly appointed coaching staff as it plans to build on the good work and momentum achieved to date and enters the next chapter of growth. With the female program growing every year, the club sees this is a golden period whereby our Women's squads continue to improve performances and there is a clear path for development and fun for our junior Girls.
