Essendon Royals sign Rebecca Davies for Season 2022

Essendon Royals’ senior women’s recruitment drive is off to a strong start with the signing of Rebecca Davies for the 2022 season.

New senior women’s coach Vince Battiato has been busy laying out comprehensive plans for the new year and has his first acquisition of the new season sorted with Davies arriving from Victorian Premier League outfit Southern United FC.

In 2020, Davies bagged four goals in nine appearances prior to the cancellation of the season.

Davies arrives at Cross Keys Reserve with National Premier Leagues pedigree, having played for both Bulleen FC and Heidelberg United, whilst she has also been prolific within the Victorian futsal scene, representing the state as team captain, as well as her current role as a coach in the state futsal set-up.

Capable of playing as a striker or a midfielder, Davies will deliver instant versatility to Battiato’s squad as well as proven NPL quality.
