YOUTH

JUNIOR BOYS NPL

Essendon Royals has a current license to field teams in Football Victoria’s Junior Boys National Premier Leagues competition.

The Royals field teams in the following age groups:

  • Under-14
  • Under-15
  • Under-16
  • Under-18

The Royals JBNPL program supports talented young male footballers with their football development with extra training sessions, provided by professional coaches.

By participating in the JBNPL program, players will regularly be tested against the best players in their age group across the state.

JBNPL competition commences in February with an 11-game grading competition, played in local conferences, before teams are split into three different divisions in every age group, based on their results in the grading period.

The club must run a trials process every season to pick these squads.

Please note: The club hopes to be able to add a Junior Girls NPL offering in the coming seasons.
