Stephanie Gouder returns to the Essendon Royals

Stephanie Gouder has returned to the Essendon Royals for the 2022 season.

The returning Royal was a member of the club’s 2019 promotion-winning squad and spent the COVID-hit 2020 and 2021 seasons at fellow State League 1 outfit Moreland Zebras, as well as having played stints at Heidelberg United and Spring Hills.

A two-time promotion-winner with Spring Hills (2018) and Essendon Royals (2019), Gouder brings fantastic winning experience back to the club where she says she has always been happiest.

“I have moved back to Essendon for Season 2022 because the culture of the club is unbeatable,” she said.

“I believe that I have played the best football of my career with the Royals because I was at my happiest here.

“It makes me excited to play and contest for the league trophy next season.”

Gouder is the fourth new signing of the off-season to arrive at the Royals, joining Rebecca Davies, Mary Hubek and Cat Ioannidis in arriving at Cross Keys Reserve.

The club has also announced the re-signings of Giulia Sepe, Priscilla Ribas, Tahlya Gorevski, Zoe Schaffner, Katrina Tsalikidis and Marcela Marques.
