As part of Female Football Month in February, Essendon Royals is looking to recruit and train female coaches as we continue our drive towards greater female representation in our game.
As a sport in general, football has seen a massive influx of female players and the Royals have been steadily growing our intake and promotion of female footballers in recent years.
In 2022, in excess of 200 female footballers will represent the Royals, from our ambitious senior women’s program right through to the youngest players in our MiniRoos Kick-Off Academy.
In keeping with this exciting growth, Essendon Royals is passionate about finding and training a new generation of football coaches to ensure that female coaching representation continues to grow within our game and our club.
To help make this possible, the Royals will sponsor grassroots coaching courses for new female football coaches who are interested in taking up a coaching role at our club*.
From head coach positions in our community football program to assistant coaching roles, the Royals are committed to helping women who are eager to take on football coaching take their first steps, whether they are coaching boys or girls.
For more ambitious and experienced female football coaches looking to join a reputable club, we are happy to discuss sponsorship of C-License coaching courses** as a part of your time at the club.
So, are you interested in taking the first (or next) steps on your coaching journey as a female coach?
