Xoe Minas joins Essendon Royals

Xoe Minas has joined Vince Battiato’s Royals revolution.

The former Alamein FC midfielder is the latest highly experienced player to join Battiato’s squad as the Royals continue to plot for a big push in Season 2022.

Minas arrives at the Royals as not only a talented player, but an enthusiastic junior coach, taking on our Under-11 girls team in 2022, which was an important factor in her joining the Royals.

“I was looking for a club that would spark my passion for football again,” Minas said.

“Already, the Royals has done that and more and have also allowed me to start a path in coaching.”

The midfielder said she was enjoying Battiato’s sessions and the general atmosphere around the club.

“The sessions are always based on how we want to perform during our games which allows us to be prepared for weekend games and be able to adapt to every situation on the pitch,” she said.

“Off the pitch, the club’s atmosphere is something that definitely stood out to me. They are very invested and passionate about not only football in general but women’s football.

“My transition into the team and club was great and I constantly felt welcomed and encouraged by the coaches and committee.”
