Essendon Royals in partnership with Gold Sponsor Gaffney Constructions will be raising funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital at Friday’s Moonee Valley Derby against FC Strathmore.
The Royals, Gaffney Constructions and the wider Moonee Valley soccer community will be out in force at Cross Keys Reserve when two of the City’s biggest clubs take on one another.
Club President Richard Di Sauro will be hosting a President’s function prior to kick-off upstairs at the Cross Keys pavilion.
From 6.30pm, supporters of the Royals and FC Strathmore, as well as the wider Moonee Valley community are welcome to join us upstairs for a small $5 donation.
Your donation will provide access to grazing platters and a free drink in the Cross Keys Pavilion, prior to kick-off of the Senior Men’s clash between the Royals and Strathmore, which kicks off at 8.30 PM.
All proceeds will be donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital as a part of the Good Friday Appeal, alongside the funds raised by Gaffney Constructions at their annual Charity Golf Day.
As well as being one of the Royals’ biggest sponsors and supporters, Gaffney has a proud and successful history of raising funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital, with over $70,000 raised for the hospital in recent years.
The Gaffney and Royals family are indebted to the Royals Children’s Hospital for their incredible care of our under-16 player Oscar Ferrante, son of Joanne and Vitale Ferrante – who is both a Director at Gaffney and Senior Men’s Coach at Essendon Royals.
The Ferrante family have reported that Oscar has made pleasing progress on his road to recovery and expressed support for any efforts to help raise funds for the hospital that has left them in awe of the care and support provided to families in their times of need.
We encourage all club members and local football supporters to join us at Cross Keys Reserve this Friday night.
