Essendon Royals accept invitation to partake in Junior Super League

Essendon Royals is pleased to announce that it has accepted an invitation to participate in the third edition of the Junior Super League, starting with a competition in 2022, followed by a competition in 2023.

The Junior Super League Gala Cup is a post (Oct-Dec) and preseason (Feb-April) Cup style competition designed for NPL clubs to provide competitive year-round football for U8/U9/U10/U11 and U12 Kangaroos level teams.

The competition involves 18 NPL clubs Melbourne-wide, thus providing high-quality development opportunities for Royals talent that will further provide a pathway into our successful JBNPL program.

We are also excited to announce that we have some limited opportunities and taking expressions of interest for external players to join the Royals for the 2022 component of the Junior Super League!

This will provide any new players with the chance to impress as we look to strengthen our Kangaroo squads further ahead of the 2023 season.

Current Essendon Royals Wallabies and Joeys players are encouraged to apply.
