Essendon Royals welcome back Mario Piraino

Essendon Royals are delighted to confirm that Mario Piraino will return to Cross Keys for Season 2023.

A dependable member of the Royals 2022 promotion-winning squad, Piraino will be back to boost the Royals hopes of a strong debut campaign in NPL3 in 2023.

The full-back developed an eye for goal in 2022, chipping in with some crucial efforts during the season, which saw him finish amongst the club’s top scorers with six goals from full-back in 2023.

Amongst them were crucial goals against Caroline Springs George Cross and Brimbank Stallions, the latter of the two being a genuine goal of the season contender.

Piraino only missed two games all season in 2022, with his durability another huge asset to coach Mick Ferrante.

The Royals are excited to welcome Piraino back to the club in 2023.
