Linda Sawa commits to Essendon Royals for Season 2023

The signing of Linda Sawa ensures the fearsome Essendon Royals front line that bagged goals for fun remains in place for the club’s charge into the Victorian Premier League Women’s competition.

Sawa is the latest 2022 promotion winner to recommit for Season 2023, after a breakout debut campaign with the Royals.

She scored 17 goals and assisted a further four, making for a fantastic return as part of an awesome frontline alongside Mary Hubeek and Rachel Alonso who contributed 57 goals and 25 goals between them.

Another striker with a fantastic work ethic, Sawa was a capable leader of the line, working effectively with Hubeek and Alonso to further the Royals cause.

Sawa is the fourth announced re-signing for the Royals senior women’s team, joining strike partners Hubeek and Alonso, as well as Marie Rampal.
