Ryan McEvoy re-signs with Essendon Royals

Essendon Royals 2022 Senior Men’s Best-and-Fairest winner Ryan McEvoy has recommitted to the club ahead of the 2023 campaign.

McEvoy has been a revelation for the Royals since he initially arrived at the club back in 2016.

Over the course of several stints at the club, McEvoy has helped the Royals earn two promotions, first from State League 2 to State League 1 in 2016, as well as the 2022 promotion-winning campaign from State League 1 into NPL3.

McEvoy made a habit of scoring spectacular goals in 2022, with a number of memorable strikes from his collection six league goals and two Australia Cup goals.

A long-range bomb against Moreland Zebras perhaps takes the cake as his best hit of the season, although smashing free-kicks against Avondale FC and Altona City will also live long in the memory.
