Doveton SC is set to host Essendon Royals in the NPL3 Round 7 clash this Saturday at Waratah Reserve.

The Royals are coming off a crucial 1-0 win at home last week against Beaumaris SC, in which they had only 10 men for the majority of the game. Despite being a man down, the Royals created great looks at goal and were impressive in their ability to keep their opponents at bay.

This win was a massive boost for the Royals’ players and coaching staff, who now look to go back-to-back against Doveton.

Doveton is coming off a massive 6-2 win away from home against Ballarat City, with Joshua Frame (four goals in 2023) and Joshua Hine (three goals in 2023) being their main goalscoring threats. The team has had a solid start to the season, sitting eighth on the table out of 12 teams with two wins, one draw, and three losses.

The Royals will be looking to build on their momentum from last week’s win and climb up the ladder in the upcoming clash.
