The Essendon Royals are set to take on Glen Waverley in Round 6 of the VPLW at Cross Keys Reserve on Friday 28 April.
After suffering their first loss of the season to Brunswick Juventus last week, the Royals will be eager to bounce back and continue their impressive form. Despite the loss, they have scored 10 goals in four games and look dangerous going forward.
Senior Women’s coach Vince Battiato has been working hard with his team in training this week, focusing on finishing in front of goal. With a number of chances missed against Brunswick, the Royals will be looking to be more ruthless in front of goal against Glen Waverley.
Glen Waverley has had a difficult start to the season, losing all four games and sitting second-bottom on the ladder. They have scored just two goals and conceded 19. The Royals will be looking to continue their climb up the ladder.
Make sure to come down to Cross Keys Reserve and support the Royals as they look to get back to winning ways! Kick-off is at 8:20 pm on Friday 28 April.
The Reserves kick-off at 6.20pm and will be looking to maintain their undefeated start to the season.
