Essendon Royals Excited to Welcome Seb Lo Monaco for the 2024 Season

The Essendon Royals are delighted to announce Seb Lo Monaco as our second signing ahead of the 2024 Victorian Premier League 2 season. Lo Monaco arrives at Cross Keys after departing the Western United academy and is a former Essendon Royals junior and his return to the club makes for an exciting addition to our attacking line-up.

At just 19 years old, Seb has already showcased his talent in Western United’s NPL2 side, demonstrating a level of skill and enthusiasm that promises to bring excitement to the Royals’ upcoming campaign.

Seb shared insights into his football journey and his aspirations for the season ahead. “I’ve been with Western United for two years; after playing in the [Melbourne] City Academy as well. Before that, played at Essendon Royals as a junior. It feels great to be back home,” Seb said. “I’m really looking forward to the next season, aiming to win games and make a significant impact.”

Seb’s experience in A-League academies, including a two-year stint at Melbourne City, has equipped him with a high-quality playing style and a competitive edge. “The level of play and the quality of opposition in the academies were top-notch. I’m eager to bring that intensity and quality to the Royals, both in training and in matches,” he added.

Reflecting on his return to the Royals, Seb expressed enthusiasm about the club’s culture and the support from the coaching staff and teammates. “The culture here at the Royals, the camaraderie among the players, and the exceptional coaching staff make this club special. I’m excited to be part of it and can’t wait to get started,” he concluded.

Seb Lo Monaco’s return to Essendon Royals is a testament to the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and building a strong, competitive team. We warmly welcome Seb back to the Royals family and look forward to his contributions in the 2024 season.
