The Essendon Royals are ecstatic to announce the return of one of the state’s top goalkeepers, Beth Mason-Jones, for the NPLW season. Her exceptional skills and contributions have been instrumental in the club’s consecutive promotions from State League 1 to the VPLW and now the NPLW.
Beth’s tenure with the Royals has been marked by her incredible abilities as a shot-stopper. Her performances have been pivotal in the success of Vince Battiato’s side, especially in crucial matches against top-tier NPLW opposition.
Her awe-inspiring skills were on full display during the match against Calder United in 2022, where she conceded only a late own goal.
Moreover, her penalty shootout heroics in the Nike FC Community Cup final remain etched in the memories of the Royals’ supporters.
As the Royals aim to continue their upward trajectory in the NPLW, Mason-Jones’s role is more crucial than ever.
Her experience, coupled with her proven track record against some of the state’s most formidable forwards, makes her an invaluable asset to the team, and we are lucky to count her as one of our own once again.
As well as her heroics on the pitch, Beth is a much-valued part of our club off it, helping to train our girl’s goalkeepers, who genuinely look up to her for her incredible guidance and coaching.
Welcome back, Beth!
