Nishiyama bolsters Royals defensive stocks

Essendon Royals are pleased to announce the signing of Yusuke Nishiyama ahead of the 2024 VPL2 season!

Nishiyama arrives at Cross Keys after a lengthy career in Japan and most recently, in Australia with Banyule City in State League One, where he made 22 appearances and scored two goals.

Prior to making the move Down Under, Nishiyama played for the likes of Gainare Tottori, Yokohama SCC, Musashino United and Ventforet Kofu, making 60 appearances in Japan’s J3 League.

The experienced defender can play as both a centre-back but also as a striker, making him an intriguing player to watch in 2024.

We can’t wait to see what Nishiyama can produce this season.
