Davey Van’t Schip returns as Essendon Royals Playing Assistant Coach

Essendon Royals Soccer Club is delighted to announce that Davey Van’t Schip will continue in his role as the Playing Assistant Coach for the upcoming season, working in tandem with head coach Mick Ferrante.

Since joining the Royals in 2019, Van’t Schip has proven to be one of Victorian football’s most exceptional talents, consistently demonstrating his skill and passion on the field. His contributions have been pivotal, particularly during our promotion-winning season in 2022 and throughout the NPL3 campaign last year.

As Van’t Schip continues on his coaching journey, his transition reflects his growing focus on this new path within football.

The Essendon Royals are excited for the continued influence and insights Van’t Schip will bring to the team in his dual capacity. His journey from a revered player to a promising coach within the club marks a beacon of progression, and we are confident his presence will significantly bolster the squad’s dynamics.
