Essendon now sit fourth on the ladder amidst of a logjam of teams vying for promotion this season, goal difference behind Altona City and North Sunshine Eagles, and a point adrift of league leaders Brunswick Juventus.
Up next, is a clash against the Eagles, a side who have been flying high to kick off the new season.
North Sunshine are also on three wins and two draws following their first five games, and come into the contest fresh off a hard fought 2-2 draw away to Nunawading City.
The danger man has been Ndue Mujeci, who has three goals in the opening five games this season, while Nick Epifano has two to his name.
Prior to the action getting underway at 8:30 PM, the Under 23s will be in action at 6:15 PM, looking to get back on the winners list after a 2-1 loss to Paco last week.
