About the Program

The Optus Kick-Starters at Essendon Royals, evolving from the foundation laid by the MiniRoos Kick-Off Academy, is designed to offer young players a vibrant introduction to soccer.

Age-Appropriate Learning: Tailored sessions that cater to the developmental needs of young players, focusing on soccer skills alongside fundamental motor skills development.
Inclusivity and Engagement: A guarantee that every child gets their turn with the ball, promoting active participation, teamwork, and respect.
Health and Fitness: An active approach to building agility, coordination, and physical fitness among participants.
Social Development: Beyond soccer skills, our program is a place for children to make friends, learn social skills, and be part of a supportive community.

Program Details for Term 2

Age Group: For boys and girls aged 4 to 9 years.
Session Times: Weekly 45-minute sessions on Saturdays; Session 1 for ages 4-6 at 9 am and Session 2 for ages 7-9 at 10 am.
Venue: All Term 2 activities will take place at Cross Keys Reserve.
Dates: Saturdays from 20 April to 22 June. Wednesday sessions will also be available, starting the week following the first Saturday session and ending the week following the last Saturday session.
Cost: $220 per term

Access the Club Store: Look for the “Club Store” option in the top navigation menu. This option will become visible once you’re logged in.
Find the Essendon Royals Kick-Starters Gear: Click on the Essendon Royals Kick-Starters banner within the Club Store to view our specific uniform items.
Select Your Items: You’ll need to order a Kick-Starter jersey, Shorts, and a pair of Socks. While the bag is available, participation in the program is not compulsory.
Shop for Extras: Feel free to browse and add any additional items you might need from the club store or the broader Ultra Football range.
Check Out: Once you’ve selected all your items, proceed to complete the payment and finalize your order.
