Essendon Royals Announce Senior Men’s Fixtures for 2025

The Essendon Royals are thrilled to announce the release of the fixtures for the 2025 Senior Men’s season. As the team gears up for another exciting year in Victorian football, we would like to extend our gratitude to Football Victoria and Moonee Valley City Council Officers for their support during the fixturing process. Their collaboration ensures that JH Allan Reserve will host our Senior Men’s games during the opening rounds of the season, allowing us to play home games in the Moonee Valley for the first time since our promotion to the NPL/VPL tiers.

The season kicks off with a home opener against Altona City on Saturday, 8th February at 3:00 PM at JH Allan Reserve. The Royals Men are expected to return to Cross Keys Reserve on Saturday, 5th April, following the conclusion of the cricket allocation, when we welcome Box Hill United.

Double-headers with our NPL Women’s side are set to be a feature of the 2025 season, bringing the whole Royals community together for days of football action.

Our regular home time slot for Senior Men’s games has moved up to 7.30pm, following the introduction of VPL2 U19s into the Senior Matchday Program. This means U19 and U23 fixtures will be played on Saturdays and Sunday at home, depending on other fixturing in the NPLW, JBNPL and JGNPL.

As always, fixtures remain subject to change due to Cup Rounds, Council ground works, and other factors. We encourage fans to stay updated via our website and social channels for the latest information.
