Royals announce first new signing of off-season with arrival of Vincent Nicoletti

Essendon Royals are thrilled to announce their first new signing to the senior men’s side ahead of the 2025 VPL2 season, with the arrival of Vincent Nicoletti.

The full-back arrives from VPL1 outfit FC Bulleen Lions, where he established himself in the senior squad during the 2024 season and impressed in our victory over the Lions in the Dockerty Cup.

Prior to making the move to Bulleen in 2023, Nicoletti spent time in Melbourne Victory’s academy setup.

Nicoletti is a dual-threat in defence and attack, possessing brilliant speed and a great engine, which will make him a headache for opposition players.

He is the 11th player to sign for the Royals’ senior side ahead of the 2025 season, joining re-signings 2024 VPL2 Player’s Player of the Year Graham Kelly, VPL2 Golden Boot winner Jordan Adeyemi, Dean Clarke, Brad Norton, Will Thomason, Andre Russo, James Tieri, Seb Lo Monaco and Jack Leech.
