BMJ is back! Goalkeeper of the Year Beth Mason-Jones returns to Essendon Royals for 2025 season

Essendon Royals is thrilled to announce the return of 2024 NPLW Victoria Goalkeeper of the Year Beth Mason-Jones.

Mason-Jones returns after one of her best seasons to date, where she was central to Royals securing a finals berth on the first-time of asking after their promotion from VPLW.

Her performances between the sticks stamped herself as one of the top goalkeepers in the state, putting together a number of match-winning outings.

To go with winning not only Goalkeeper of the Year, Mason-Jones also earned a spot in team Victoria for the Battle of the States and took home the Royals’ Senior Women’s Player of the Year.

The A-Leagues loss proves the Royals gain once again, with the closure of the A-Leagues window meaning Mason-Jones is now eligible to represent the Royals from Round 1.

Her re-signing is a statement of intent heading into the new campaign, as we look to build off our amazing first season in the top flight, joining top goalscorer Audrey Oastler, Ava Groba, Mikaela Jurcic, Mia Lantieri-Bartley, Kendrah Smith, Olivia Ristevski and Filomena Delic to have also signed on for the upcoming season.

We can’t wait to see Mason-Jones return next season as we chase yet another successful NPLW Victoria season.
