Youngster Marcus Kotronis re-signs for Essendon Royals’ senior men’s side ahead of 2025 VPL2 season

Essendon Royals are excited to announce the re-signing of Marcus Kotronis to their senior men’s side ahead of 2025 VPL2 season.

Kotronis signs on for another season after his first campaign as part of the Royals’ senior setup, making 11 appearances and scoring his maiden senior goal in our emphatic 5-0 win over Brunswick Juventus.

The youngster bursting into the senior setup is a testament to not only his ability at such a young age, but the Royals’ youth program who continue to blood youngsters into the senior men’s squad.

His performances with the Under 23s were simply too good to ignore, adding six goals in 10 appearances all before May.

Kotronis is the club’s 13th re-signing, joining Graham Kelly, Vince Lia, Brad Norton, VPL2 Golden Boot winner Jordan Adeyemi, Dean Clarke, Will Thomason, Andre Russo, James Tieri, Seb Lo Monaco, Ali Eyigun and Julian Guzzardi, along with new signings Vincent Nicoletti and Rashid Hayek.
