The Essendon Royals are excited to announce their Female Football Day on February 19th, an event designed to bring together and empower women in football. The day will take place at Ormond Park from 9 am to 1 pm and will be filled with exciting activities for all ages.
A guest panel of five women will be in attendance, including Councillor Narelle Sharpe and senior player Rachel Alonso. These inspiring women will share their experiences and knowledge about the game, encouraging others to get involved and make their mark in football. The theme of the event is “Stronger Together (with Essendon Royals),” highlighting the power of community and support in achieving success.
There will also be a football clinic run by senior players, providing an opportunity for our Club’s female footballers to meet and interact with our senior playing group. The clinic will be open to all ages but is specifically targeted at younger, female players.
In addition to the guest panel and football clinic, there will be show bags, door prizes, and morning tea to make the day even more memorable. The Essendon Royals are encouraging the audience to ask the panellists any questions they may have and are even accepting questions from kids to be compiled prior to the event.
This is a fantastic opportunity for women and girls to come together and celebrate their passion for football. With a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, the Essendon Royals Female Football Day is the perfect event for anyone looking to get involved in the game.
So come along and be a part of something special at Ormond Park as we celebrate the continued growth of the Women’s game!
