Essendon Royals Soccer Club has announced the signing of Sanja Trajkovska and Tash Inia from VPLW-winning squad Preston Lions. The duo will be joining the Royals for the 2023 season and will be hoping to help the club achieve promotion in the upcoming season.
Trajkovska and Inia were both key players for Preston Lions in their successful campaign last season, and they will be looking to bring that same winning mentality to the Royals. Trajkovska, who can play in any position in the backline, is excited about the challenge of playing for the Royals and is looking forward to working with coach Vince.
“It’s been good coming to the Royals, the girls have been welcoming. Vince plays very differently so there’s a lot to learn, but I’m excited and looking forward to a great season,” Trajkovska said.
Inia, who plays in midfield, is also excited about the opportunity to play for the Royals and learn the new midfield structure that coach Vince has implemented.
“I’ve heard a bit about the club and it’s a good group of girls, so I feel like it’s a good environment for me to come to. I think Vince has a good idea of what needs to happen to chase VPLW promotion, so we just need to keep working hard in training and make the things he wants from us to be second nature,” Inia said.
The Essendon Royals Soccer Club is looking forward to seeing Trajkovska and Inia in action and wishes them the very best for the upcoming season. With these new signings, the Royals are well on their way to achieving their goals for the season.
