Essendon Royals Kick-Starter Program Term 2: A Fun-Filled Soccer Experience Awaits!

Get ready for an exciting new term of soccer fun, as the Essendon Royals Kick-Starter Program returns for Term 2, starting Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at Cross Keys Reserve! We’re thrilled to welcome back returning participants and new faces to our popular program, where kids aged 4-9 can learn soccer skills, make friends, and enjoy a fantastic experience with the Essendon Royals Soccer Club (ERSC).

Thank you to all the parents who have registered their children for Term 2, and if you haven’t yet, don’t worry! There’s still time to register before participant numbers are capped. Simply visit [registration link] to secure your spot.

The first Kick-Starter session for Term 2 will be held on April 29th, running through June 24th, 2023. The program will continue to offer two separate sessions for different age groups each Saturday morning, ensuring a tailored experience for every participant.

Please note that there will be no Kick-Starter session on January 28th due to the Australia Day long weekend.

To accommodate the large number of participants, we’ve designed an efficient check-in system to ensure every child gets the most out of their session. Upon check-in, children will be allocated to a numbered flag for each session, with pitches set up and ready for action.

Session times and details are as follows:

  • Session 1 (Ages 4, 5 & 6): Starts at 9am (duration 45 minutes)
  • Session 2 (Ages 7, 8 & 9): Starts at 10am (duration 45 minutes)

Session Dates:

  • April 29th
  • May 6th
  • May 13th
  • May 20th
  • May 27th
  • June 3rd
  • June 10th (Long weekend – Monday 12 June is the Monarch’s Birthday public holiday)
  • June 17th
  • June 24th (Last week of school for Term 2)

Please ensure your child arrives at least 15 minutes early for check-in and is equipped with a clearly labeled water bottle.

While uniforms are not compulsory, they can be purchased after check-in, which includes a shirt, shorts, socks, and a drawstring bag.

Parents, don’t worry! Our canteen will be open every Saturday morning, offering coffee and snacks to keep you refreshed and energized while cheering on your little soccer stars.

Remember, sessions will go ahead in wet weather (as soccer is a winter sport), and cancellations will only occur if conditions are deemed unsafe or if instructed by the Council. Stay up-to-date with the latest information by joining our Kick-Starter WhatsApp group (ask about this at the session)

We can’t wait to kick off another fantastic term of soccer fun at Essendon Royals Soccer Club, and we look forward to seeing you all at Cross Keys!
