The Essendon Royals Soccer Club is now taking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for our 2025 Junior Boys National Premier League (JBNPL) program. We are looking for super talented players who want to be part of one of Victoria’s top youth soccer programs.
A History of Success
In 2024 we had three out of four teams in Division 1 in the JBNPL. Our Under-18s in Division 2 were impressive and contributed several players to our Under-23 team as the season went on. Those young talents have continued to impress and several have made their senior debut this year.
Among the standouts were Marcus Kotronis and Diarmaid Harrington who made their senior debut and other Under-23 eligible players like James Tieri, Ethan Georgopoulos and Julian Guzzardi who got senior minutes. This shows the strength and depth of our JBNPL program and the pathways we have for our players to progress through the club.
Great Coaching and Development
At the heart of our program is a focus on great coaching and player development. Our players are guided by accredited coaches with all coaching overseen by Head of Football Vaughan Coveny and Boys Technical Director Michael Curcija. They ensure every player gets the support and development they need to reach their best whether that’s a senior debut or progression to higher level football.
Existing Royals Players
As we look to 2025, the Essendon Royals are committed to developing our current players. We will do everything we can to retain as many of our existing Royals players as possible. We will continue to work with these players to help them reach their best no matter what level they are playing at.
PLEASE NOTE: Existing Essendon Royals players do not need to lodge an Expression of Interest. Our coaching team will discuss your progression with the club and inform you of trials or offers to retain your position in our JBNPL program in due course.
New Talent
In line with Football Victoria regulations, we will be holding a trial period for the 2025 season. This trial period is an opportunity for new players who think they have the talent and desire to be part of our JBNPL program to show us what they can do. While our priority is to develop our existing players we know there may be a few spots available as some players will be moving on to other opportunities or into our community football program.
If you’re a talented young footballer looking to test yourself at one of Victoria’s top clubs we encourage you to make an EOI for the Essendon Royals 2025 season. This is your chance to be part of a program that focuses on success on the field and developing well rounded, resilient people who can succeed at all levels.
How to Apply
Make an EOI using the form below and provide all details. Trial dates and further information will be sent to successful applicants.
