Essendon Royals are proud to announce that Michael Ferrante will return as senior men’s head coach for the 2025 season.
Ferrante – who previously played for the club in the juniors and seniors – will lead the side for a fourth successive season, after leading them to a fourth placed finish in VPL2 last year.
This was their best since being promoted from State League One at the end of the 2022 season, with the Royals finishing only five points off the promotion places.
The former Melbourne Victory and Wellington Phoenix midfielder also led the club to Round 6 of the Australia Cup playoffs, after knocking off VPL1 outfit FC Bulleen Lions in a tense 4-3 win at Cross Keys Reserve.
Ferrante has been busy constructing his squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, with announcements of player signings and re-signings to be made in the coming weeks.
We’re looking forward to seeing what Ferrante and his squad can do in 2025 as we look to have yet another strong campaign next season.
