Essendon Royals re-sign talented youngster Julian Guzzardi to senior men’s squad ahead of 2025 season

Essendon Royals are thrilled to announce the re-signing of young attacker Julian Guzzardi to their senior men’s squad ahead of the upcoming 2025 VPL2 season.

Guzzardi – who joined the Royals for a second stint at the club from FC Bulleen Lions – put together a solid campaign, making 18 senior matchday appearances along with scoring a goal against Box Hill United early in the campaign.

The youngster showed signs of growth working alongside the likes of VPL2 Golden Boot winner Jordan Adeyemi and Club Captain Graham Kelly and will be looking to take another step with his development next season.

Guzzardi is the club’s 12th re-signing, joining Graham Kelly, Vince Lia, Brad Norton, VPL2 Golden Boot winner Jordan Adeyemi, Dean Clarke, Will Thomason, Andre Russo, James Tieri, Seb Lo Monaco and Ali Eyigun, along with new signings Vincent Nicoletti and Rashid Hayek.
