Essendon Royals 2025 Optus Kick-Starters – Term 4 (Ormond Park) Registrations Now Open

All Term 4 sessions will take place at Ormond Park, Moonee Ponds. Please note the venue change and plan accordingly.

Kick-Starters is our fun, skills-based football program for kids aged 4–9. It’s designed to build confidence, coordination and a genuine love of the game in a friendly, inclusive environment—guided by qualified Royals coaches and proudly supported by Optus.

Program snapshot

• Ages: 4–9
• Session length: 45 minutes
• When:
  • Saturdays – 9:00am and 10:00am
  • Wednesdays – 4:30pm
• Where: Ormond Park, Moonee Ponds (Term 4 venue)
• Cost: $230 per term
• What to bring: water bottle, shin pads, runners/boots. Club uniform info provided after registration.

Saturdays: 11 Oct, 18 Oct, 25 Oct, 1 Nov, 8 Nov, 15 Nov, 22 Nov, 29 Nov, 6 Dec, 13 Dec
Wednesdays: 15 Oct, 22 Oct, 29 Oct, 5 Nov, 12 Nov, 19 Nov, 26 Nov, 3 Dec, 10 Dec, 17 Dec

Sessions run in most weather; in the event of extreme conditions, we’ll communicate any changes and aim to reschedule where possible.

Important capacity notice for Term 4 at Ormond Park

Due to space restrictions at Ormond Park, places are extremely limited. If you are re-registering from earlier terms, please note we cannot guarantee the same timeslot for late registrations, particularly for the popular 9:00am Saturday group.

To help us accommodate everyone:

• We strongly encourage players aged 6+ currently in the 9:00am group to consider moving to 10:00am Saturdays or to a Wednesday 4:30pm session.
• Wednesday afternoons are a great option if you’d like to keep Saturdays free for those last-minute beach days as the weather warms up.
