James Tieri Re-Commits To Royals For 2026

Essendon Royals are pleased to announce that James Tieri has signed on for his third season with the club.

The 20-year-old fullback joined the Royals from Pascoe Vale in 2024, fresh from winning the club’s U21 Player of the Year award. 

Tieri has gone on to make 33 appearances, scoring his first goal against Altona City. 

A determined and tenacious young defender, we look forward to seeing his continued progress in the senior set-up.

Tieri is Essendon’s eighth re-signing of the offseason, joining Vince Lia, Julian Guzzardi, Marcus Kotronis, Takumi Niwa, Dean Clarke, Jordan Adeyemi and Brad Norton in committing to Mick Ferrante’s squad for 2026.
