Essendon Royals is pleased to confirm the appointment of Mario Gouder as an assistant coach within the senior men’s program.
Gouder arrives with strong local experience, having spent the past six seasons as an assistant coach at Sydenham Park, where he was a key part of the coaching group through to the conclusion of the 2024 season.
Across that period, Gouder built a reputation for his detailed preparation, strong connection with players, and consistent contribution across matchday and training environments. His background adds valuable depth and continuity to the Royals’ senior football structure as the club continues to strengthen its coaching and performance framework.
Gouder joins an established senior men’s coaching group led by head coach Mick Ferrante, alongside assistant coach Davey Van’t Schip, strength and conditioning coach Juan Toro, and goalkeeper coach Bobby Trenkovski.
The appointment reflects the club’s ongoing focus on building a well-rounded coaching team that supports player development, clear standards, and a connected senior program.
The club welcomes Mario to Essendon Royals and looks forward to the experience and perspective he brings to the group.
