Essendon Royals are pleased to confirm that Olivia Ristevski has re-signed for the 2026 NPLW Victoria season, continuing her progression within the senior women’s program.
Ristevski remains one of the club’s most exciting long-term prospects, having first broken into the senior squad as a 15-year-old during the highly successful 2023 campaign, playing her part in a side that claimed the VPLW Premiership and Championship double, along with the Nike FC Community Cup.
Equally capable at fullback and in midfield, her development has been steady and impressive. In her second full senior season, Ristevski made 16 appearances and opened her goal-scoring account with a brilliant strike against Calder United.
While she was limited to only four senior appearances in 2025, head coach Jaiden Van Der Heijden believes she’s set for a big year.
“Olivia’s only just finished high school. She’s technically gifted, very good on the ball, a very good dribbler, and does have an eye for a goal as well.
“We’re excited to get her back playing her best football again.”
The Royals are excited to see Olivia’s journey continue as she enters another important year in her development.
