Essendon Royals are delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Paige Kingston-Hogg, who joins the club ahead of the upcoming NPLW Victoria season.
Kingston-Hogg arrives at Cross Keys with a strong national profile, having previously featured in the senior squad of Newcastle Jets in the A-League Women.
A graduate of the Emerging Jets pathway, she progressed through the academy system before earning her place at the highest level of women’s football in Australia, including starting appearances in the Westfield W-League.
Following her time with the Jets, Kingston-Hogg became a standout figure in the NPL Women’s Northern NSW competition. She joined Newcastle Olympic, where she was quickly recognised as a key attacking presence, delivering multiple match-winning performances, including a memorable two-goal outing that turned games in her side’s favour.
Her impact continued with Maitland FC, where she further cemented her reputation as a big-moment player. During her time with Maitland, Kingston-Hogg claimed NPL Women’s NNSW Goal of the Year, awarded for a spectacular strike that drew praise across the competition and highlighted her technical quality and confidence in attacking areas.
Now settling into life at Essendon, Kingston-Hogg said the transition had been made easier by familiar faces and a welcoming environment.
“A few of the girls that are here now – Bronte (Peel) and Parko (Amy Parkinson) – we all played together back in Newcastle, so we just followed suit and here we are,” she said.
“The club has been really welcoming. The group of girls and the staff have been great, and it’s been a bit of fun straight away, which is what it’s all about. I feel like we’ve slotted in pretty well.”
Reflecting on her journey, Kingston-Hogg said the move to Essendon felt like the right next step after time across multiple football environments.
“I played with Maitland and a few local clubs in Newcastle, then did a season in Sydney with all the travelling, had a bit of a break, and now I’m here at Essendon. It’s been exciting.”
Kingston-Hogg is known for her ability to arrive in dangerous positions, influence the tempo of matches, and deliver decisive moments when it matters most. Her experience across A-League Women and multiple NPLW environments adds valuable depth and leadership to the Royals’ midfield group as preparations continue for the season ahead.
