It is with a heavy heart that we farewell Jordan Adeyemi, who has departed the club as he returns home to the United Kingdom.
Since arriving at Essendon Royals ahead of the 2024 season, Jordy has made an outstanding contribution to our club, making an immediate impact both on and off the pitch. His pace, skill, clever movement and eye for goal quickly made him a fan favourite, as he finished as joint-winner of the VPL2 Golden Boot with 15 league goals in his first season.
Jordy has continued to play a key role in the club’s success ever since, driving the standards of our senior program while also inspiring the next generation of Royals talent as a kickstarters coach.
Adeyemi departs as the top scorer in VPL2 so far this season with 13 in 17 appearances. His converted penalty against Malvern City on the weekend was his 42nd goal for the club.
On behalf of everyone at Essendon Royals, thank you, Jordy, for your commitment, your passion, and the unforgettable memories you have created in Royals red.
You will always be welcome back at Cross Keys.
Good luck and safe travels.
