Essendon Royals Welcome Rebekah van Dort for 2025 NPLW Season

Essendon Royals are pleased to announce the signing of Rebekah van Dort for the 2025 NPLW Victoria season.

Hailing from New Zealand, Rebekah brings a wealth of experience to the Royals’ backline, having played at a high level for more than two decades. 

She was a key figure at Eastern Suburbs AFC in Auckland, where she contributed significantly to the club’s success over an extended period.

Her career took her to Canada, where she played for Electric City FC in League1 Ontario before moving to Harbourside FC, gaining valuable international experience along the way. 

Rebekah’s defensive qualities, leadership, and composure on the ball make her a fantastic addition to the Royals as we prepare for our second-ever season in Victoria’s top tier of women’s football.

Beyond her playing career, Rebekah has been actively involved in coaching and mentorship, helping to develop the next generation of footballers.
